Kaleb Yates has worn many hats in his life, including lead carpenter, award winning documentary filmmaker, master finger-style guitar instructor, and REALTOR®!
Kaleb was born in southern California, but at the age of 6, his parents answered the “Call of the Wild” by moving the family to the Alaskan Bush where he learned to live off the land without running water, roads, or electricity. He played chess for entertainment, traveled by dog sled, and enjoyed eating ptarmigan and snow ice-cream. Eventually, his family would return to civilization. Kaleb attended school in the Christmas-themed town of North Pole, Alaska. After high school, Kaleb’s love of the arts led him to study at several postsecondary institutions: Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California; Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle, Washington; and University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
Along the way, Kaleb became involved in the film and television industry working every position from Stunt Man to Editor to Director. His film credits range from cameraman for various Discovery Channel programs to “sailor” on “Pirates of the Caribbean.” You might catch his documentary “Letters to Santa” on PBS around the holidays!
Kaleb also has over 20 years of experience in the building trades. He has worked as a lead journeyman carpenter on numerous multimillion dollar commercial and residential projects across the island of Maui and throughout Alaska. His experience working with REALTOR®s as a contractor inspired him to switch hats once more and acquire his real estate sales agent license in the “Friendship State” of Texas.
“What I have to offer my clients is a unique array of skillsets acquired from a blessed and multifaceted life.”
