Don Davidson has over 40 years of industrial sales experience servicing the petrochemical, refining, and offshore markets. His industrial sales experience has made him very aware of the importance of customer service. “Service to the customer means keeping your commitments and doing what you say you are going to do.” Don learned early on to “treat everyone the way you want to be treated” and he treats each of his clients with care and empathy during what he knows is both an exciting and stressful experience for them.
Don started his real estate career in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After the flood in 2016, Don helped clients sell their flooded homes and find new ones. One of his first clients was Miss Jane. Miss Jane was 84 years old and had eight feet of water in her home after the floods, everything was ruined. Don helped her evaluate the cost of repairs versus selling the house and buying another one. Eventually Don helped Miss Jane find a beautiful new home in which she could rebuild her life. “Miss Jane was a client he will always remember.” Don also helped other clients buy flooded property to repair for their own use, to flip, or to use as rental property. His experience working with these clients in such difficult circumstances strengthened his passion for helping others and taught him to be calm and patient, and he always puts his clients at ease. Being a realtor is such a rewarding job, and Don loves to put a smile on his clients’ faces. Like with Miss Jane, Don strives to build lasting relationships with each of his clients, and remembers them long after their deal has closed.
Don made his way back to Georgetown, Texas and is now a realtor at RE/MAX 1 in Cedar Park. He works mainly in Williams County, an area he knows and loves. Georgetown is a great small town of about 60,000 residents. It is located 35 miles north of Austin, providing all the advantages of being near Austin, but not the disadvantages like traffic! There are many great places to eat as well as many things to do and see.
Don also retired from the Army and Army National Guard at the rank of Major with 23 years of service. His service made him aware of the term ‘sense of urgency.’ When Don is not working hard to serve others he enjoys Ham Radio, Geocaching, flying his quad-copter, and volunteering at the Georgetown Police Department.
