It started with a DANISH! Shelly met her late husband Michael Kelly in Vail, CO. Shelly, a girl from Kansas, worked in the spa and Michael, a boy from Texas, worked as the breakfast chef in a quaint little hotel called the Vail Athletic Club. Michael brought Shelly a danish on a beautifully garnished plate. As they say, the rest is history. Shelly contributes her current success in the real estate industry to Michael. He truly taught her everything she knows and she couldn’t have had a better mentor.
After moving back to Michael’s Texas roots in 1994, the two raised both of their children in Cedar Park where they purchased their first home in 1997. They enjoyed watching the area flourish over the years and felt truly blessed to have raised their children in such a wonderful community with great values, phenomenal schools, healthy atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and incredible opportunities.
Shelly received her real estate license in 2005 and joined forces with Michael who had spent 10 years in new home sales. They brought together their own unique strengths and created a successful career in Residential Real Estate. The couple crushed the industry with numerous awards in customer service and top in sales.
In 2018 Michael was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and the disease ultimately took his life just 9 months later.
As Shelly continues to be inspired by her husband’s example, she is committed to continuing the business the two built together in full “Michael Kelly fashion”.
