Molly McKenna is the Director of Opportunity at RE/MAX 1. Molly's job is to find and attract mastery-based agents to the office, protect the culture, and make sure everyone is happy! Molly has been at RE/MAX 1 for over 4 years, and she loves the brand, the staff, and most of all - the agents. Molly prides herself on being able to read people pretty well. "I can usually tell right away when someone is going to be a good fit for the office and vice versa. I look for three qualities - lifelong-learner, kindness, and a sense of humor," Molly says.
By being selective and only offering a spot at RE/MAX 1 to a little over 60% of the agents she meets with, she is able to keep RE/MAX 1 the positive and productive place it is. "I feel really protective over this office. This industry can be super stressful, and I like the thought of agents having a 'safe space' in our office to come to. Making sure the people inside the space are upbeat and positive makes a huge difference in the atmosphere."
Molly was born and raised in New England, and grew up in a small town just outside of Hartford, Connecticut. She attended Keene State College in New Hampshire where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and went on to get her Masters in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. In 2014, she moved to Austin on a whim after falling in love with the city after a visit. After two years of living in South Austin, she moved to Cedar Park to be closer to RE/MAX 1 and loves watching CP get cooler and cooler every day.
Molly lives in Cedar Park with her boyfriend and 110 lb. Akita, Max (short for RE/MAX). She loves to drink coffee and travel!
